

ELP POWER "T" FESTIVAL BROADCAST VILLAGE
This years 'T in the Park' music festival was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Scotland on 12 & 13 of July 2003. Over 55 thousand music fans revelled before major acts like REM, Coldplay and Supergrass.
A production village was set up in the grounds of Balado Airfield near Kinross to facilitate live transmissions. ELP supplied all the power distribution for the OB vehicles, scanners and edit suites.
When questioned about any expected problems gaffer Darren Fletcher remarked "…only the weather,… it's usually wet up here so we need to be careful with the power tripping in damp conditions."
Production Manager, John Singer adds by saying:
"Broadcasters like the beeb place a lot of trust in ELP, our crew and our equipment. Live transmissions simply must not fail. They know we are completely meticulous and that they can rely on us totally 100%....
“With so much to set up across a large 'Greenfield' site, the production period is almost a month long and will require a total of 8 experienced crew.”
