Now in its 10th year, The Rhythms of the World festival held in Hitchin, Hertfordshire has become the largest free festival of world music in the UK.
On 11, 12 & 13 July an estimated 20,000 people descended upon Hitchin town centre to enjoy a dazzling variety of musical entertainment.
ELP contributed to the success of the event by donating lighting equipment, rigging expertise and mobile power generators for the three days.
There were 140 performances with over 700 performers across eight stages. With children's activities, craft and world food stalls there was something for everyone.
Event Co-ordinator Bob Mardon comments: "Our aim is to provide a bridge of common interest between different ages, races, and economic groups. It is a festival of cultural exchange on a local as well as international level."
He concludes… "…The festival would simply not exist without the support of sponsors like ELP. Their generous donation of equipment and crew helped dress the main stages and provide power for the bands. Thanks for all your help!"
