
ELP RISING SUN TRANSFORMS HOOTENANNY
If you watched Jools Holland's Easter Hootenanny special recently, you will certainly remember the outrageous structures which framed artists like Macy Grey and Blur.
Rigged by ELP crew chief Joe Sherno these structures symbolised a rising spring equinox sun over a pastoral landscape.
"It certainly achieved the objective of totally transforming the usually minimalist Later set." said Sherno.
2 x 25 foot arches were made from clad Thomas GP truss. 10 Mac 500 moving lights were then positioned on top of each arch.
The crew chief concludes by saying "this project just emphasises our diversity and structural expertise. It shows that ELP can handle almost any job…no matter how unusual!
