Some of the biggest corporate and consumer brand names are now using ELP’s range of lighting, rigging and power equipment to stage their conferences, launches hospitality and roadshow events.
ELP are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of production services for the Film, TV and entertainment sectors, but as hire manager Barry Denison explains, it’s the corporate events market which is seeing most new clinet growth.
“We’re seeing a growth from two main areas. First, there are roadshow events where clients demand a fast turnaround. Because of our rock and roll touring heritage we are able to quickly build bespoke temporary structures and large scale lighting rigs much faster than clients expect. Secondly, we are seeing a trend towards the use of LED lighting systems for large conferences, product launches and hospitality events”
He continues “Not only do LEDs give you infinite colour options and a high degree of control but because they don’t pull much power and they don’t waste heat or energy like other lighting fixtures, they tick the ‘sustainability’ box. As many of our clients are looking to run more sustainable productions complaint with BS8901, going LED is a no brainer.
Plus, it helps that we’ve got one of the largest and most advanced LED hire stocks in the UK” remarks Barry.
Here are just some of the big name brands using ELP gear to stage their events:
Cadburys – Large roadshow event requiring digital moving lights, on site power via ELP twinset generator with extensive trussing and rigging hardware.
T-Mobile – hospitality event as part of the IOD annual conference at the Royal Albert Hall providing site power, soft lighting and plasma screens.
Deutsche Bank – Set lighting for high end conference at Park Lane Hilton using ELPs range of LED and generic lighting systems.
Ernst & Young – Providing LED and generic lighting for a large financial services conference.
Orange – Roadshow with over 100 LED lights, trussing systems, smoke machines and special effects all powered by an ELP 120KW generator.
Sky – Video screens plus set and stage lighting for a series of internal conferences
Castrol – LED and generic lighting systems for events held across Europe including Rome, Berlin and London
Barry Denison concludes “On behalf of ELP, I’d just like to thank all the clients that have used us this year. I know it’s been a tricky time for the events industry but I think we’ve shown the added value, expertise and technology that ELP can bring to this industry.”
