A crew from ELP Manchester, headed up by Darren Fletcher provided corporate exhibition lighting services for Sunseeker at this year’s London Boat Show.
Sunseeker, the UK builders of world famous motoryachts unveiled two new models at this year’s Boat Show at London’s Excel. The event took place between 11-20 January and ELP provided a range of Pixel Pars, Source 4s and thirty eight brand new ChromaFlood 200s which, according to Darren Fletcher, were the key light on this job.
Darren explains, “Pulsar's ChromaFlood 200 TC is an amazing high power LED fixture. It is ideal for the architectural and big expo markets because it gives an unlimited colour palette that can enhance building facades, water features and focal displays. The ChromaFlood 200 is housed in a compact IP65 flood enclosure and is therefore suitable for outdoor or indoor use”
The ELP team worked under the directorship of John Lockwood for the Sunseeker plot which comprised a large indoor stand rigged with the ChromaFlood TCs and Mac 2000s programmed on a Hog 500 by Darren. Outdoors in the ‘marina’ area was another rig consisting of more ChromaFlood TCs , Pixel pars and Source 4s again programmed on a Hog 500. There was also another stand for Express Cruisers again encorporating the ChromaFloods this time programmed by TC Thomas.
Darren continues “One of the advantages of Excel as a venue for this Show is that boats can actually moor outside along the dockside in addition to the usual indoor stands. There was approximately a quarter of a mile of yachts outside in addition to all the usual indoor stands. ELP serviced clients in both areas. The range of specialist equipment we own means we are not limited by weather conditions and can overcome the electrical safety issues involved with being close to water
